Justin and Max steal Alex’s diary only to have it stolen again by Gigi, Alex’s arch nemesis. In an attempt to recover the diary, the brothers accidentally place Gigi inside the book and into Alex’s secret fairy-tale princess world.

4) Racing

Alex uses the restoration and upcoming race of Jerry’s junky old car as an opportunity to develop her relationship with her “gear head” crush, Dean. Meanwhile, Max orders a mind-reading kit.

5) Maximan

The kids fail at their group magic project, so Jerry devises a plan that will force them to work together. Now Alex must wrestle with sacrificing her first one-on-one date with Dean so that she and Justin can help Max’s superhero, “Maximan,” solve the crime and prove to Jerry that the siblings can work as a team.

6) Saving Wiztech Part 1

Wiz Tech is forced to close, and the Russo’s must take in Professor Crumbs and fellow student Ronald, who quickly develops a magical connection with Alex. Professor Crumbs teaches Max how to assimilate into the mortal world and Justin saves-the-day by finding the solution to reopen Wiz Tech.

7) Saving Wiztech Part 2

After enrolling in Wiz Tech, Alex realizes her new crush, Ronald, has kidnapped her former crush, Dean. Max and Professor Crumbs join forces to become a dynamic duo, and Justin and Alex must team up to save Wiz Tech from falling into the hands of Ronald and his evil father.

8) Harper Knows
First aired: November 23, 2008
It is Harper's birthday and Harper wants Alex to go to the pop con convention with her. Alex says no but then the emergency wizards come and say that all 3 young wizards must go to Pop con and help keep wizard powers a secret. Alex tries to avoid Harper but ends up running into her. Harper gets mad. To make it up to her she gives her a costume with wizard powers. Later Harper finds out the Russos are wizards.

9) Taxi Dance
First aired: December 7, 2008
When Cab number 804 is retired, Alex charms it back to life in order for she and her family to continue to cherish the memory that she was born in it. But when the Cab decides to remain by Alex's side at all times, she and Justin must figure out how to get rid of it and together they convince the Cab to go back to work and service others. Harper is starting to learn about wizard magic, and gets scared when Alex uses it. Meanwhile, Max charms a gurney to come to life. The animation spell is used to make the objects come to life and follow and talk to you.

10) Baby Cupid

Jerry and Theresa's anniversary plans are ruined over a fight about magic which prompts Alex to summon Cupid. When Jerry reminds her that magic started the fight, Alex tries to hide Cupid from her mom by claiming that he is a life like doll from her Marriage and Family class. Cupid's return gets delayed after Max accidentally breaks his bow. Harper finally asks Justin out and he accepts because he gets hit with a love arrow
